At the center of all her actor training is
the 'Heart Centered Actor' technique which I have been developing since 2020.
This technique clarifies and deepens the connection between an actor's intuitive inner environment and their connection to other actors on stage, using various somatic and performance practices I have taught for the past 23 years.
I invite performers to'Come Home to Yourself' as a connection to and experience of the voice and body
as a site of performance.
Studio as Experiment "Lab"
I have taught acting and directing in numerous university actor training programs (University of Florida; Barry University; Jacksonville State University; California State University, Fresno), empowering actors in the use of Lessac Kinesensics Somatic BodyVoice in the training of Heightened Text Styles: The Greeks, Commedia dell'Arte, Shakespeare, Moliere, Restoration Comedy, Chekhov, Absurdism, Pinter and Farce.
My performance teaching practice is rooted in Stanislavski/Hagen and informed by the methodologies of Somatic Voice and Body.
I considers the classroom and studio a place for
vulnerability, bravery and rigor.
