Experimental Narrative Feature Film
SAINT: 5 Études for Joan of Arc
Set in the year 2084, the Great Flood has engulfed the coastal regions of the Southeastern United States. As rising sea waters damage aquifers, making drinking water scarce – Joan, an environmentalist with poetic visions, sets sail across the Atlantic Ocean to confront a summit of world leaders and wage a war on corporate pollution. Joan's story is juxtaposed and interwoven with four other "Joans" throughout history who have in their own unique ways, been the voice of warning and empowerment.
Ecology and Intuition
Michelle explores climate change, eco-feminism, and intuition through the investigation of the lives of five women crossing over 500 years in history. Through the lens of The Female Gaze, Michelle incorporated her research on Lessac Body Wisdom techniques in a methodology for "the feeling camera" to expand the audience's capacity for empathy of the interior life of women.
